Atlantic Monthly (www.theatlantic.com)— an American website has published an article themed “Women in Tech Are Rising Higher in China than in the U.S.”, revealing more and more contribution of Chinese women in the science and technology industry. Through reviewing on many staff in Chinese enterprises, only 34% of American companies claim that their board of directors include one or more women; 39% of British companies claim that their board of directors include one or more women; however, 61% of Chinese companies reveal that their board of directors include one or more women.
More crazily, as for whether those companies will issue plan of increasing female leaders, 67% of American companies said no and 80% of British companies said no, while 63% of Chinese companies said yes. There are more and more top female representatives in Chinese companies. Moreover, more and more companies are preparing for creating a fair environment for their female workers. When female leaders of an organization come to a certain amount, they’ll oppressively support other females to work harder like themselves.
China has created a new role model and a new pattern in the science and technology industry. The significance China had contributed to Silicon Valley is more than that of a decade ago because more and more Chinese companies are competing with American companies. It is a Chinese company that had beaten Uber Technologies. In this war, a face well-known to the audience in that fight is a Chinese female, also a mother. This matters for China and for the United States, too.
