Have you ever played any games since your childhood such as playing pokers? One of the most popular games is buying a lottery ticket. This is especially popular in southeast China area. Wendy has tried to buy a lottery ticket sometimes in her spare time and she had indeed won some reward but she also had bought lottery ticket in vain. Buying lottery tickets for a period of time, wendy recalled her how personal relationship goes on these years since her graducation from university. She had failed in several dating relationship before she find David, husband of her right now.
She remembered the first time she buy a lottery ticket, she was so lucky enough to win $ 50. By the time she get this money, she went shopping to buy several items catering her favor. Days later, she tried to buy another lottery again but she lost a little money. She was a little disappointed but not willing to give in. Then she tried another time several days later and lost a little money again. This game was taught by her current husband David who was very good at math and computing and his job is a math teacher in a university. Failing for several times, one day she got back home alone on her way, she recalled her mood was very excited when she met her first boyfriend — John, who was a mature and handsome man relatively successful in his career by then. At that time Wendy has just graduated from her university and at the beginning of her career life and she was eager for a strong shoulder to rely on. She fell in love with John the first time he dated her and treated her with a dinner. She just couldn’t control herself to miss him everyday in her spare time and she cared each word out of John’s mouth. However, too much of wendy’s indulgence in John hadn’t exchanged equally with his sincere love. John gradully felt that Wendy was too emotional and lack of some independence. John did has a feeling for her but he still required more but Wendy couldn’t make it. Finally they broke up and Wendy kept emotionally independent for about six years until she met David, who is also handsome and in a good state in his career. They are at the similar age. During the previous six years, there were indeed some kind friends, relatives or colleagues introduce some boys to wendy but she was just not in the mood or she just compared those boys with her ex — John and kicked those later boys off until she finished her master degrees completely on her own, without any financial support from her family members.
Wendy had spent almost seven years to learn how to be independent and live a well-organized life of her own until appearance of David in her life. It’s not a easy process. This is just like buying a lottery ticket. You can try to buy it but you should not be indulged in it as it won’t make you to become a complete person with financial independence and self-esteem. The more you figure out the rules of a lottery ticket, the more reasonable you’ll be in your life and gradually you’ll just take it as a small game to play in spare time. All you need to do is to put more efforts to improve yourself, including your health, your career and you family life rather than making any unrealistic dreams or relying to much on outside factors.
