Thinking about how a woman and a man, who hadn’t known about each other before, get to know each other. You might be able to think of many occasions of dating. For Jane and Samuel, it is Jane’s part-time job that brings her to meet Samuel.
Jane was graduated from a college with a bachlor degree majoring in French. Since graduation she came to New York to find a job of her own — an interpreter in a listed company. She worked hard as she need to be totally financially independent as her family cannot support her anymore. As daily expenses in such a big city as New York is too high and she nearly made ends meet. To same some money of her own, she began to find a part time job and finally she succeeded in working as a part-time translator. she started her translation task little by little. Gradually she got to know more people working in the field of translation and interpreting.
One day she was invited to participated in a symposium on translation and interpretation. She found so many professionals also had attended. She felt very satisfied by all she had strived to see what she saw that day at the meeting. By the end of the meeting, there was a small dinner party. She was arranged to sit beside a gentleman named Samuel. Jane was a little shy, sitting silent to listen to what others are talking about during the dinner time while Samuel broke her scilence by delivering a name card of his. On the namecard, Jane got to know that Samuel was a professor teaching language in a university. Out of respect and admiration for the career of teachers in high education institutions, Jane opened her mounth to communicate more with Samuel.
Jane continued to keep contact with Samuel since that symposium on translation and interpretation. They even got more cooperation with each other. One day Jane was surprised to receive a bounch of roses from Samuel showing his deep affection for her so such a long time.
A part-time job has not only helped Jane a lot in her financial condition but also brings her to her Mr. Right. How beneficial it is to get a good part-time job!
