As relevant news published on August 22nd, 2017, Zhang Yingying, a chinese girl working as a visiting scholar in University of Illinois missing on June 9th of this years hadn’t been found yet. Her family members even petitioned American national leaders to give them help to find her in a press conference. During the press conference held three days ago, relevant officials from the University of Illinois released diaries of Zhang Yingying before her missing. At the end of her diary, she wrote “Life is too short to be ordianry.”

Is life too short to be ordinary or is life really too hard?

Undoubtedly, Zhang represented just one of so many students studying abroad or teachers working as visting scholars abroad and most of them are excellent in the field they’re studying. Obviously, there are thousands of parents, friends and relatives supporting and waiting them behind. They’re hope and pride of their parents, friends and relatives. With so much expectation and pride, they’ve already strived a long journey to what they are today. When Zhang’s family members saw Zhang Yingying’s “Life is too short to be ordinary in her diary”, they would certainly feel that life was really too hard.

And just at the moment when her family members took part in the press conference, Typhone Hato was landing in Southeast of China and hit some cities boarding the sea severely, causing some people severely hurt or even die. Life is really hard and people need to struggle for it, to enrich it with different meaning such as peace, love, justice, kindness and truth.
