Places Where People Go Wrong in Relaxation Session

People who are depressed will fight the relaxation session. Their minds will be too accustomed to being filled with thoughts. They are not acustomed to disciplining their thought processes. Other things that newbies will find is that they are not breathing correctly and this needs to be adjusted as soon as you realize that you are doing it incorrectly. If you find yourself breathing through the mouth, for instance, this is a really bad habit. Your nose has filters that filter the air going into your body and you need to respect that because those filters also mean that you are not breathing in harmful substances.


People often give up without giving the exercise a really good try. Yes, you have to go back to the beginning if you start to let other thoughts creep into your mind, but there is a purpose to this. It is disciplining you to be able to drop thoughts and when you are depressed and prone to anxiety, this helps you because when you are relaxed you tend not to react so quickly to negative stimuli. You tend to think things over and thus make fewer mistakes in your life, which add to your pile of regrets.


It’s a good idea to do this in the early evening, not too soon after eating because you need to upright for your digestive system to work correctly. About halfway through the evening is the best time. Your food has gone down, you are beginning to wind down from the day and you are working your way toward sleep, making this time the perfect time to relax.


When you have finished your relaxation session,don’t get up quickly. Take your time and let your body dictate how quickly you go back into the world. It’s easier for your mind and body if you take this slowly. If you want to try meditation, you could put by an hour or so and to do a small amount of relaxation first to get your mind more receptive to the meditation process. A mind that is already slowed down will be useful to you in meditation practice and it will be easier than stepping out of a hectic world and expecting to be able to meditate easily without experience.
